Boasting is a human characteristic. We all enjoy talking about what gives us joy and hope. We enjoy talking about the person we love. Boasting motivates us to action. The Lord delights in our boasting about Him. In our hymns of worship, we boast in our Savior God.
I. Boast in the Lord –
A. Do not boast in.
1. How intelligent you are (academic degrees) –

3. In your riches – , ;
B. Do boast in knowing God.
1. His lovingkindness –
2. His justice – in Christ Jesus –
3. Knowing God is the greatest treasure –
II. The Foolishness of Worshipping Idols –
A. Boasting in the superpower of the day - Babylon –
1. Worship of astrology - the stars –
2. Anger desires to separate ourselves from those opposed to God –
3. Or make idols –
B. Jeremiah mocks the idols
